Parking tips for Mariners at Mets (Queens, Aug 15, 2025)

hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the mets game since i've been to citi field a million times and know how chaotic it can get. hope this helps you out.

honestly the best way to do it is to use prked. you can rent a private driveway or a garage from a local right next to citi field. it's way cheaper than the official lots and you get to completely skip the insane traffic jam getting out of the stadium lots after the game. it's a super short walk and saves a ton of headache.

if you're set on the official lots, be prepared to pay $40 for a car. they are all cashless now so bring a card. the main lots are C, D, E, and F. my biggest tip is to get there early, i'm talking like 2 hours before the first pitch, because the traffic getting in gets seriously bad and you could miss the start of the game. when you're leaving, it can take an hour or even more just to get out of the lot, it's a nightmare. a little trick is to park as far back as you can in the corner of the main lot, sometimes you can get onto the highway a bit quicker from there.

another really popular option is the skyview mall garage. it's only about a 10-15 minute walk across the bridge to the stadium and it's much cheaper than the stadium lots. a lot of fans go this way so you'll be walking with a big crowd, which is nice.

some people also park for free in flushing meadows corona park, over by the hall of science, and walk from there. it's maybe a 20 minute walk. i've heard of people also parking under the van wyck overpass but i'd be careful there, a friend of mine got his catalytic converter stolen doing that so maybe not the best for a night game.

whatever you do, just have a plan. showing up right at game time without knowing where you're going is a recipe for disaster.

anyway, should be a great game. hope this helps and lets go mets
