I think my cat has a UTI, what do I do until appointment day?

My one year old male cat has been peeing in small tiny amounts and goes to the litter box a bit more than usual. I barely noticed this yesterday and I believe the symptoms have been happening since two or three days ago. Ive been worried to death ever since and immediately went to the store and got her a ton of wet food and distilled water since I saw online that regular water has minerals that could make him worse. He hasn’t shown any sign of pain he’s been acting normal and he’s been eating normally aswell as drinking a lot of water regularly. We just moved houses like about almost a week ago and I feel like it’s got him pretty stressed but he got used to the room within a day or two. The only thing that has changed are his litter box habits. I’m about to call in to make an appointment and I hope I can get one soon. I was also wondering how much treatment would generally cost or how much it has costed for other people. until then does anyone have any similar experiences or tips thst helped relieve their kitty of any pain?
