Foundation comparison advice please!
I am nearing the end of my fourth tube of 'Super Healthy Skin Sheer Tinted Oil-Free SPF20' foundation but my shade (fair) is out of stock 😩 I have enough left that I can afford to hold off buying it now and wait to see if my regular comes back in stock, but I'm doing an order now of other products that I have run out of, so it'll save me a few quid in postage buying a foundation now, hence the question!
The alternative I'm looking at is the 'Superluminous Tinted Skin Glow Serum' in shade light (previously fair). It's a little more expensive (£20, compared to £12) which isn't the end of the world, and you also get 20ml less in the tube which is a bit :/, but I'd hate to buy something quite a bit more expensive per ml than something I know I love and for it to not work out.
What I love about the first one is that it evens out my skin tone just enough without looking like I'm wearing foundation. Like you can still see a little bit of natural blush with my cheeks, but it's buildable enough that I can cover any spots of blemishes easily. Before I was a BeautyPie convert I found that light coverage foundations were too light and medium looked too 'foundationy' on me, whereas this one is absolutely perfect.
I can't tell from the descriptions on the website how the two compare though. Is the Superluminous serum more or less coverage than the serum? It says that it's just been reformulated to provide more cover, but then it also describes it as 'sheer, light coverage'.
Basically, I'm sure I'm overthinking this because I'm yet to buy a product I don't absolutely adore from BeautyPie, but I just love the first foundation so much that I can't imagine anything coming close to it 😂 That being said, the second one does have 0.2 extra stars and looks fantastic so unless anyone who has tried both can tell me categorically not to change over, I'm going to take the plunge 😩
