Advice

hi folks, today I received an apprenticeship offer after a successful interview stage with an SME business. for context, I’ve completed my A-levels and my three options this summer were as follows; (1) go to university to study electrical engineering (2) join RAF for the high starting salary salaries, the joining bonus that you receive + the pension benefits and (3) get into tech sales via an apprenticeship.

now, my question to you all is.. is it worth the job offer although it is a low ball offer of 15k for a 18 month duration which rises to 25k min. Post completion or should i instead consider moving away for the starting salary in the RAF of which although higher salary after training doesn’t have the luxury of no out goings whilst living parents. this leads me to my next point about university which is very much still on the cards but at 9k per year for 3 years to get a starting salary in an engineering field of probs no more than 27k annually is it worth the experiences that it has to offer i.e. there’s no guarantee on an internship. I guess that this is more so about whether it is about money or experiences etc etc but I just wanted people’s two cents on the idea.

for even more context, I am an amateur boxer that boxes multiple times per week that can’t see themselves letting go of fitness commitments if work load demand becomes too high. I know that the RAF ensure that you are kept well in shape and encourage it within the roles as a requirement , i like this. additionally, i do love aviation as i do come from an RAF background already so i do understand some of the implications that type of life comes with but tech sales and AI also fascinate me, I’ve always been quick witted, forward-thinking and able to build rapport with customers fluidly. However, there begs the question of why would i do A-levels if I didn’t want to go to university? Why would i waste two years? If any one has any syrup for my waffle, it would be greatly appreciated thank you and have good day chaps!
