Is settling down in a village just a dream now?

Lifestyle / Habits ✨

I’m a 29M from South India. Since childhood, I’ve always had this dream like buy 5or6 acres of agricultural land in a village, build a small house, spend my days in peace, do some camping, fishing, and live a quiet life away from the chaos.

But reality is hitting hard. In my native, even basic agricultural land is going for ₹40 to 50 lakhs minimum per acre. That means crores just for land, completely out of reach for an average Indian.

What frustrates me more is when I see people in other countries with similar interests, they’re able to own land and live that lifestyle even without high-paying jobs. Here, it feels like such dreams are only for the rich now.

Anyone else feel this way? Have you found any realistic path to make such a life possible in India? Or is this dream slowly dying for our generation?
