How can an Indian individual legally accept online payments from US/EU customers without incorporating?
I’m building a small SaaS product from India and expect paying customers from the US and EU. Revenue will likely be very small in the first year, so I want to avoid the cost and complexity of incorporating a company at this stage.
I’m looking for guidance on:
-
The most legally compliant way to accept payments from international customers as an individual (not through a company) while based in India
-
Compliance with Indian laws — including Income Tax, FEMA, and RBI guidelines
-
Whether reputed payment gateways (like Stripe, Paddle, etc.) can be used without a registered company, and if not, what legal alternatives exist
