How/What would the current state of Cinema be if COVID Pandemic didn't happen?

Hey r/Letterboxd,

I am working on a small project and for that i need as much input as possible. I can only think about so many scenarios and google search also takes me on a similar path.

Hence, I'm asking the community that understands the movies.

Simple question is,

What/How would the Current state of cinema be IF COVID Pandemic didn't happen?

Obviously it's a pure hypothetical question but granted we are now in the post pandemic time and we have also lived the pre pandemic time, we should be able to come up with some unique answers.

Any comments are really appreciate.
