British Council Library membership question

Hello, I just wanted to ask anyone who’s ever had the library membership in Mandalay about some of the rules. The rule to “Use the reading facilities for engaging with library materials rather than personal printed materials.” in particular. Does this mean I’m not allowed to bring any of my books if I ever wanted to self-study at the library? I was thinking about buying membership, but truth be told, if that is the case, then it’s quite a big turn-off for me. Thanks in advance!
