Looking for Family-Friendly Neighborhood Suggestions
Hi everyone!
My husband and I are hoping to move in the next year with our 3-year-old, 1-year-old, dog, and 2 cats. We’re interested in Fort Mill (or nearby) and want to avoid our last mistake of settling for a house/area we didn’t truly love . . . so we’re starting our search early to narrow it down to a few neighborhoods that feel like “home.”
We’re primarily looking for family-oriented neighborhoods with good schools, but we do have a few other boxes we’d love to check (I know, in today’s market it might be a dream, but worth a try!):
- Budget: ~ $650k
- Size: 3,000+ sq ft, 4–5 bedrooms (or office/playroom space)
- Lot: Good-sized property, preferably flat and fenced
- Spacing: Homes not stacked right on top of each other
- Community: Family-oriented, lots of kids
- Location: Easy commute to Uptown Charlotte, near shops/restaurants/conveniences
If you live in a neighborhood that sounds like that (or even has just some of these), I’d love to hear your recommendations so we can add them to our “drive-by” list for our next trip down.
Thanks so much! :)
