My manager is abusing me making me work day and night 12+ hours everyday, is this normal for a fresher in indian market? Is there no other choice?

I'm a fresher, I've been working in a big company since 2024 Jan as an associate Software developer in embedded field.

In the past few months shortly after my internship period has ended, my manager has started dumping me with loads of work which i need to work till 11pm to past 1am everyday to complete, and still end up hearing that i need to do better. When he sees me working overtime he pulls me aside and advices me to "just work more efficiently in the the office hours". I'm so sick of this treatment even though the pay is really good for a fresher like me.

I graduated as one of the top students from my school and university and i thought this will be manageable when I started working here. But now seeing everyone working just fine while I'm here being pushed to the point of being suicidal makes me think otherwise. Maybe I'm just incompetent as my manager calls me. But if this is what survival here is, then i don't want to survive here.

I made this post to ask fellow Indians if this is normal in the Indian work market. I don't have friends and i don't know what others in my place and the people in other companies are going through. I would really like be proven wrong but please give me the hard answers and don't hold back anything. I might just be dumb and the last thing i need is kindness that gets me nowhere.
