As of March this year, the Met has spent over £60 million policing Palestine protests since Hamas’ barbaric massacre in Israel on 7th October 2023, according to our analysis. Since then, the price tag will no doubt have risen even higher.

Campaign Against Antisemitism

This eye-watering sum being spent on protests that have no positive impact on what happens abroad but plenty of adverse effects right here at home is impossible to ignore when our police force is under severe financial strain. The Met is losing 1,700 officers and closing eighteen police station front counters across London because it doesn't have the money to pay for them.

We have been calling for an end to these protests for almost two years now. The writing was on the wall when they turned our cities into no-go zones for Jews.

Both Jews and ordinary, law-abiding citizens are paying the price for this monumental failure of policing leadership. Is it any wonder that Met Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley holds the confidence of only 5% of British Jews?

Our priorities in this country are pretty skewed when extremists, with the blessing of the police, take precedence over the safety of ordinary people trying to go about their lives.
