I just listened to it for the first time (idk why I hadn’t before, I think I just hadn’t come across it organically while listening to demos and unreleased on yt) and I don’t understand why everyone was chomping at the bit for it to be on wtialy like it really wouldnt fit in at all… and I get that there’s some similar themes between ethel and carrie but the voice of the song is not like ethel to me at all, and not similar to how she talks about her feelings for willoughby. idk. i’m just yapping
