Sailor Moon OG First Thoughts

Hi people !! I started Sailor Moon just yesterday after rewatching a play through of “The 3D Adventures of Sailor Moon” and remembering that I was supposed to finish Sailor Moon Crystal when I was 6… now I’m almost 15 😅 One thing I’m loving so far are the character expressions. Everyone is so cartoonishly expressive I love it to PIECES!! I don’t remember there being as much silliness in Crystal but I’m assuming Crystal’s more like a DBZ Kai type deal. Another thing I like is how when they introduced Usagi they don’t even make her seem cool. She’s a whiny crybaby about a lot of things and really, really dumb. And I really like that.Tbf she is literally just an 8th grader so it makes sense she isn’t taking this super seriously.

Last thing I wanted to say was that I watched a bit of the DiC version for comparison and. Oh my god. It’s even MORE goofy. The transitions they added feel like they just let a little kid mess around in PowerPoint, I love it! Anyways that’s about all I wanna say for now. I’ll have more thoughts probably after school.
