Lian li sp850 bad 24 pin

Recently I just bought a lian li a4 h2o and a sp850. After finishing the build, it would turn on. After open the case, I made sure all the cables were connected and tried turning it on. It worked, as I went to tuck in the 24 pin, the pc instantly shut off. After play around with the 24 pin for a bit more, it turned on again. The 24 pin is firmly secured on both ends of the connector. I cant close the side panel, if I want to power on the case. My hypothesis is that when I tuck in the 24 pin toward the bottom or to the side, some of the pins maybe lose contact inside the connector housing. Now I am seeking advise as to what I should do next. Do I fight linan li customer support, or bite the bullet refund on Amazon and the cooler master psu insted. PS sorry for no pics.
