How should I move forward after a woman (23F) I’ve been talking to slowed her replies, then stopped responding? (I’m 21M)
I (21M) started chatting with a woman (23F) on WhatsApp on August 6. From the start, the conversation flowed easily — warm, fun, and flirty. I gave her a few light compliments, teased her a bit, and she asked questions back.
She works full-time as a photo editor and also studies, so her schedule is busy. Even so, we spoke for six days straight, sometimes for hours. We shared stories about our lives, bits about our families, and even interchanged photos.
Up until late Friday (Aug 8), she replied quickly and with energy. On Saturday (Aug 9) the pace slowed, and on Sunday (Aug 10) in the late afternoon, I sent her a longer, deeper message about motivation and purpose. After that... nothing.
It’s now Monday (Aug 11), and although she’s been active online, I haven’t heard from her. I’m wondering what’s the best approach from here. Should I step back and let her reach out, wait a certain amount of time before messaging again, or move on completely?
For context, I’ve never been in a relationship before, and it’s been a long time since I’ve felt this kind of connection. I tried to keep the pace natural and not over-message, while still putting in effort and showing interest.
TL;DR: 21M talking to 23F for six days of great chats. She works and studies full-time. Replies slowed Saturday, almost nothing Sunday after a deeper message, silence Monday. Unsure if I should wait, step back, or move on.
