Are you uneasy with the advent of AI created games?

I can’t help but feel a bit uneasy with what is inevitably coming in the following years.

We’re still in the very early stages of what AI can do, but already starting to see streamers with zero coding experience code games on stream using AI, and then demos of prompting chatgtp5 to literally output a game from a prompt in seconds.

Granted, all of this is rudimentary for now but give it a few years and it will be NUTS what you can do with just prompts.

What makes me anxious is that it will cheapen the craft where there is inevitably zero value in all the skills/thousands of hours of dev time we have when anyone can achieve the same results or better in a few hours of prompting.

I guess this is how artists must feel with art 🤣
