Losing a long time fan
It hurts my heart to post this as I’ve been a fan and supporter of Humble since buying “Humble Bundle Mojam” in 2012 and had been a subscriber to Humble Monthly since the first day.
But the way Humble is doing business right now is just extremely shitty, not acceptable, and possibly illegal.
To the point- I purchased Ready or Not: Home Invasion Bundle almost a month ago, and not only have I not been given a key, support won’t even provide an ETA on when they might have them.
When I purchased it there was not a notice on the store page that they were out of keys (though there is now).
This simply isn’t acceptable. No company should make sales and then afterwards say “whoops we don’t actually have this, you’ll get it someday but we flat refuse to say when.”
No matter how good a cause, this is an inexcusable way to treat customers. There’s so many safety valves they should have for this- it should be extremely easy to automate a warning message BEFORE running out of keys to let people know before purchasing. They should have an obligation to provide an ETA on key restock timings.
These are simple, basic customer service things. I’m pretty tight on money right now (just had a baby) and this is probably the only game I’ll buy for the next six months or longer. Support offered a refund, but I can’t even buy this from another platform with the refund because I got it on sale.
Do better, Humble. This is a crappy way to treat people.
