Need some inspiration :(

Currently typing on the brink of tears.

Long story but I'll try to make it as short as I can:

Daughter is 3y 3m. Tried training her three times previously and had total refusal, crying for nappies and ended up scared of the potty. Took a break, and worked on getting her sitting on it (after choosing one she liked - she has step seat for toilet and her own potty) gradually. Anyway, starts nursery September and they want them clean and dry apparently. So I'm on Day 6 of the nappies being well and truly gone apart from night time. We did it as the excitement of the nappy fairy visiting and taking them, then leaving her a new toy. She loved it. Loves wearing her pants! First couple of days I managed to get some in the potty whilst she was doing it.

However, she seems to have beocme scared again. Literally says "I'm a bit scared" but can't explain why. I think it's just a new feeling to her. So shes basically holding it as long as she physically can, then getting upset. I take her near to her potty but dpn't force her to sit on it and she eventually wees on the floor or often on my lap and clearly feels a bit defeated as she comes out with "no, no. I did potty. It's a secret." or something similar.

We're getting her drinking a lot as I'm worried about her getting a UTI with this holding.

I just want to know if anyone has had anything similar? I try to cling to the positives: most of the time now she will go to at least the right area of the house, and she's clearly able to hold well.

I stopped doing a timer as that became a battle. I also today started getting one of her teddies training and he pops up occasionally on the floor near potty in a puddle of water so she can see it happens to others and gives her a chance to help the teddy. And moreover I've just tried to back off a bit as I know my stress makes it worse.

Sorry for the long post - I'm just very defeated this evening. None of my mum pals have had this much difficulty.
