Neffy and BlinkRX Experience

Helpful Information

Wanted to share my experience trying to get my 6 year old daughter Neffy through BlinkRX.

To begin, we are one of the unfortunate ones who has BCBS Michigan which does not cover Neffy so we don't qualify for the co-pay program. We also do not qualify for the patient assistance program so our only option is the out of pocket purchase of $199.

I had the script sent to BlinkRX after checking costs with my local pharmacy ($800+). Because my daugther is in school, she needs 4 sprays total (two cases or boxes, however you want to call it) so she can have 2 at home and 2 at school.

First, BlinkRX refused to let me pay the $199 while they were waiting for the prior auth to complete even though its clear on the Neffy website that my insurance will not cover it. Ok Fine, I'll wait. The next day, I get a text saying that the $199 price has now been made available to me and I can make my purchase online, Great! Login but can only get 1 case of two with 4(!?) refills. So, I get on their chat again and after 20+ minutes of copy past of them telling me I can only order one, I called and spoke with one of their representitves. I won't get into the weeds with our conversation, however, I was denied the ability to purchase two cases, no matter the cost or reason.

BlinkRX will deny patients from purchasing more than one case without insurance!

I explained over and over that she needs this for school and for home. Explained how it is life saving medication and that she has had to use her Auvi-Q's in the past from ana reactions to egg. Explained over and over, on the verge of tears, that she has to have it, I'm willing to pay out of pocket for the 2nd one and I've never had to explain why she needed two; its never been questioned.

No sorry, that is the policy directly from the manufactor. I will have a supervisor call you tomorrow but they will likely say the same.

After ending that call, I contacted ARS Pharma directly and was told that BlinkRX is WRONG and that I should absolutely be able to purchase two cases for $199 each (total of roughly $400) if I need it and it is prescibed that way (yes it was). She is escalating the issue on her end to try and get this resolved.

Sharing to see if anyone has experienced the same treatment and lack of concern for the allergy community. I'm still a bit shocked that they are refusing to fill this script as written for a child who absolutely needs this medication.
