Can’t enable smt

i have a 3600 and i just discovered that ive only been using 6 out of the 12 threads on my cpu. after i discovered that i went into bios (i have an alienware aurora r10) and theres no options for enabling it. i tried updating bios but theres still no option for it. does anyone know a solution for this or is there a program that can enable it?
