I miss WoW - Where to begin?
I played WoW when I was young back in the vanilla days up until wotlk. I quit mid-wotlk due to substantial life changes. I picked up wow again when classic came out a few years ago and again quit around wotlk, this time for different reasons - 1. I was now entering uncharted territory (all of the content leading up until wotlk I was pretty familiar with. Even if I wasn’t that good as a kid, I still remembered the zones and quests pretty well and it was fun to go down memory lane but as a much better gamer) and 2. Because my friends stopped playing seriously around that time as well. We were in a top raiding guild and when that dissipated, so did my interest.
Now I find myself really missing WoW and I’m interested in dabbling again… but now I don’t even know where to start. I’m partly interested in retail because there’s so much content and I can grind silly things like mounts and transmogs (not even sure if these still exist). Part of me is also interested in classic but it seems kind of out of hand now. Is it really even “classic” anymore having been through 4-5 expansions?
I searched YouTube for a potential “catch me up” video to see where things are at and what would appeal to me but I couldn’t find anything useful.
Do you guys have any suggestions? Resources?
For reference, I was a Rogue named Thepump
I really enjoy world PvP and being a part of a good social guild. Especially one where people have each others backs and world PvP if someone’s in trouble. From what I’ve heard, you can’t simply attack people in the wild anymore anyway lol. Idek where to begin.
