Downsizing My Work Bag— Good Idea or Not?

Hello fellow paraprofessionals,

I’m heading back to work in two days, technically tomorrow since we have a pre-service day. Kind of anxious to get back into schedule. This is super last-minute, but I have to ask: Is a Kånken backpack okay to use as a full-inclusion para at a middle school?

I move between six different classrooms during the day, hauling my stuff to and from each one every hour. We don’t have lockers, and my coworkers have planted this fear in me about someone, even a student, breaking into the staff lounge and stealing my bag, so we’re all walking around like we’re at the airport.

For the past two years, I’ve used a massive backpack with tons of zippers, which meant I had plenty of space for everything, but it also became a hassle to lug around every day. So now I’m thinking of downsizing.

Would a Kånken be practical and safe for work in the position I'm in?
