I accidentally killed the bathroom spider

I was cleaning the toilet, it had a lot of dust on it (where I live there is usually a lot of dust this season) and I wanted to do a quick clean by throwing water everywhere.

Forget our dear friend the spider, a medium reddish spider, she had lived there for about two months and had already laid two egg sacs, she did an excellent job with insects, sometimes we even caught flies with the electric racket and put them in her net.

I discovered her already dead, curled up in a ball holding her second egg sac. My heart broke. I put the bag in the window we have in the bathroom hoping they would survive.

To top it off, hours later my husband discovered that the spider and the egg sac were not in his corner and he asked very sadly what had happened, I had to confess.

I feel terrible, the spider had a holy burial as it should, we are in mourning.
