Frustrated With Local Payment Systems, So I Built My Own
A few weeks ago, my brother’s friend asked me to build him an ecommerce website. Everything was going smoothly… until I reached the payment part.
Since Stripe isn’t available in Pakistan, I turned to our local payment providers — PayFast, Safepay, Easypaisa, JazzCash. And honestly? The experience was frustrating.
The APIs were clunky, the setup was unnecessarily complicated, and integrating them into a modern online shop felt like pulling teeth.
That’s when I thought: Why not fix this?
I started building a payment distribution service specifically for Pakistan. Right now, it supports Safepay (with more coming soon), but it’s not just a payment gateway:
- Host your own branded payment pages
- Get easy-to-use APIs for developers
- Access a clean dashboard with analytics
- Create payment links for quick sales
It’s built for ecommerce stores, SaaS products, and anyone who needs a modern, developer-friendly way to accept payments online in Pakistan.
I’m still early in development, but I’d love some feedback from the community:
- What features would make a service like this indispensable for you?
- Which payment methods should I prioritize adding next?
