LESS THAN 40% OF DOCTORS ARE GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS

I'm sorry for this one. Ik people hate my posts on reservation but kya karu ab mai. I also know that there is already an influx of anti reservation posts but I could not stop myself from making this one because no one is discussing this angle.

I was checking aiims alloted seats, and ONLY 30-35% of seats in these colleges are available for general category (isme bhi reservation wale le sakte hain). Baaki about 70% of seats are for reserved candidates. Granted OBC toh naam ka reh gaya hai holistically but top ranks pe obc ko bhi bohot fayda hota hai, especially in central institutes and state top gmcs.

70% of a college filled with so called "lower castes", they get mind blowing reservation again in PG. And you mean to tell me that they still haven't uplifted themselves?

Tldr: The amount of general category doctors in our country is very less. Less than 35% of UG graduates are general students. Everyone else is a reserved candidate.
