How to deal with the heartbreak that comes with flying monkeys?
I haven’t seen many posts talking about the heartbreak and sadness that comes with flying monkeys, so I thought i’d ask for advice. I am in the process of going no contact with my narc mom, & my grandpa (my moms dad), who i have been extremely close with for years, has taken my moms side and flipped a switch on me. he was the one family member i could ALWAYS rely on, who i would always call to cry to, and now i feel i have lost him almost completely. it breaks my heart and i feel immense grief over this. to make matters worse, my whole immediate family has taken my moms side either vocally or silently as well, and it feels so lonely. even my sister who i was also extremely close with. i don’t understand how family can do this. any advice on how you have gotten over the sadness of family turning their backs on you?
