Question about compatibility
Hi everyone, I'm building a computer and I have some questions about compatibility. The only part I've purchased so far is RAM (DDR5 Corsair Vengeance, 16GB, 5200MHz, CMK16GX5M1B5200C40).
I plan to get a Ryzen 5 7600 as the processor and an ASUS TUF GAMING A620M-PLUS WIFI as the motherboard.
When I go to the motherboard website to check compatibility issues, I see that everything seems to be fine with the processor. However, the Ryzen 5 7600 is the only one with a B2 in the Stepping column. What does this mean? Does a lower BIOS number mean it's an older version? Is the Ryzen 5 7600 also compatible with the others BIOS shown in the image? (Image 1)
Another question concerns RAM. The motherboard's website lists some compatible RAM codes. I bought two sticks of the one I mentioned at the beginning of the post. Is it safe to assume the code would be CMK32GX5M2B5200C40?
The closest I can find to this on the motherboard's website are the codes CMK32GX5M2B5200C38, CMT32GX5M2B5200C40, and CMH32GX5M2B5200C40. Why isn't there a CMK version ending in C40? What does the T in CMT mean? And what does the H in CMH mean? (Image 2)
I'm not very experienced in these matters; I'm still just starting out. I think it's unlikely that RAM isn't compatible with the motherboard, but why couldn't I find the exact code I was looking for?
Correct me if I'm misunderstanding anything; I'm trying to learn. Thank you very much.
