Senior Help!!

Advice

Long read ahead!!! So I’m a senior this year, but I’ve got kind of a complicated situation that I could use some advice on. When I first started high school I applied to an art magnet school and got in- which I was initially happy about, but it started getting to my mental health about a month or so in. I thought I could do it and be happy but worst came to worst and I ended up going on homebound (still registered into the school just an online curriculum at home). This continued for the rest of freshman year and I tried again to go in person for sophomore but it ended up the same as the year prior, and the same exact thing happened in junior year as well.

I feel like I’ve wasted all of my high school years which sucks but I have a bigger dilemma now. I decided I wanted to go back to in person for senior year for one final time, but the problem is that this is an art school and new people don’t join apart from freshman year since you have to audition. And since I haven’t completed my first art course due to being on homebound, I have to be placed into the freshman art course as a senior since you can’t move on without completing the course. They don’t allow you to take electives on homebound (hence me not finishing the course) which also means I’m short a LOT of elective credits this year. I’m caught up on all of my core classes so that’s not a problem but now my schedule is fully booked including an online elective class I have to take after school. No open periods, which I guess is on me.

Anyways I just feel so bombarded with courses this year and I don’t know if there is anything I can do to lighten the load. I personally think it’s stupid that this is happening with electives since I’m completely caught up with core (even a little ahead). And to add on to all of this, school starts at 7:00 am and I live around 30 minutes away since it’s a magnet school so I have to be at the bus stop at 6:00 which is 10 minutes from my house so I have to wake up at 5:30 to barely make it. I know that’s probably trivial but I have sleep problems as it is and it drains me when it’s on top of everything else.

Ok so to sum it up I feel super strange being in a freshman class especially since it’s my major that I spend the most time in, it makes me feel out of place and I can’t make any friends. The time is messing with me, and everyone already has pre established groups since no one new comes in. I did apply for a change of school assignment to a public school near me so I’m wondering if that would be better or not but it won’t go through for probably a week and school already started. However, I would be COMPLETELY new at that school and other new seniors would be coming in as well since it’s public. Also schedule problems would most likely persist there because I figure there’s no way around it. Any advice would be appreciated on schedule problems or just what I should do plss!!
