SSD or +8gb ram?

I have an Asus laptop with 8 gbs of ram and a 1TB HDD with both windows and my games on it. As expected, the games load really slowly and also some of them warn about ram being low and I'm struggling to use multiple programs at the same time (for example browser + discord + game on steam). What should I do? I can either add another 8 gbs of ram or put some of the stuff in the SSD.
