PDA: How to use AI

Advice

I know a lot of people who are like “AI sucks, it makes so many mistakes and can’t be trusted”. They say that because they’re using it wrong.

Ai is very useful in TWO specific areas, scanning information and giving advice in things that are very easily to double check, but hard to create.

  1. Scanning information

This is what AI is designed for. It was created originally to scan a shitload of information and give you it. So if you have twenty pages of legalese that you need to read, give it to an AI and it can give you the info you need about it.

Same thing with google searches. If you need to find some really specific thing that nobody has ever heard of, like say, a chord for an old toaster, USE AI. While it’ll take you 45 minutes scrolling through 20 pages of google searches and 50 links, it’ll take the AI seconds to do that.

Here’s the REALLY important part. ASK FOR TO SOURCE. If you make the AI give you the source that 1. Makes it a lot less likely the AI is hallucinating and 2. Lets YOU read the information right from the source, preventing any misunderstandings. That is the BEST way to use AI.

  1. Things that are easy to fact check.

Let’s say you need to rewrite an email but you’re stuck on the best way to do it. Give it to an AI! They will give you a rewritten one then you can easily check it tp see if it works. Very simple, very easy.
