So confused
Hi. I want to know everyone’s opinions on this situation. I’m a general Ed teacher. I’m getting a student this year who has 18 hours per week in a special education setting and only 11 in the general Ed setting. However he is enrolled in my class. The sped teacher and I are confused about where the special education setting hours are supposed to happen. He apparently can’t go into an autism classroom as he is not autistic. Our admin has not designated a spot for her to take him for these pull out hours(as her office is in my classroom). 🙃 This seems odd to me for there to be more special ed setting hours than gen ed hours for a child who is not in a self contained program/setting. Let me know your thoughts. Maybe I’m thinking about this all wrong? Still navigating sped.
