Thoughts on Hurricane Evacuation and Local Hotel Recomendations

Not that I am expecting a majory hurricane to hit at any minute, in the event of a hurricane' for those like myself living close to the water in rather low-lying areas and learned his lesson in Hurricane Ian, what hotel would you recommend for evacuation purposes? During the last big one that came through we evacuated to La Quinta by Wyndham Naples East (I-75) as it had some last minute accomidations. It did get very crowded. It was not too bad, but I am sure there are better choices. Has anyone evacuated locally to get out of the flood zones?  Does anyone have recommendations? Given that power loss is likely in major storms one with a generator would be nice.

We once evacuated to I-Drive in Orlando.  It wasn’t too bad, but it was a long drive and roads get congested.  General thoughts on hurricane evacuation and hotel recommendations are welcome.
