Some random thoughts I have on Pretty Little Liars

Theories/Speculation
  1. I think Maya dying would've been better than her just fading into irrelevancy like in the books, IF her death had been actually relevant to the plot. Lyndon James just being some random and 'Maya Knows' amounting to nothing was a waste. If she would've been the final ship with Emily though, l'd rather she lived.

  2. Mona was honestly pathetic. Becoming a super villain because she got called a loser and the girl she wanted to be friends with didn't want to be friends with her is pathetic. Trying to kill your best friend is pathetic. Trying to kill/harass the friend group that didn’t accept you, then trying to become their pseudo-servant to be accepted is pathetic. I really don’t like Mona

  3. Jason and Cece should've been the one to try and kill Alison and be Big A. It would've fit in the story too, as the writers could say he was going along with Cece's lie about the 'intense summer' to try cover for her

  4. PLL has some of the best female characters from any 2000s-2010s show (specifically YA).The fact that they get to be morally grey ann villainous and promiscuous and make mistakes without being demonized or making excuses for themselves while shaming other girls is good writing, in my opinion. Much better than Gilmore Girls, where the internal misogyny was reeling from inside out, and girls like Rory and Lorelei shamed other women for not being'smart' or 'cool' like them, or being too 'girly' aka 'slutty, while making excuses for themselves when they made those mistakes.THATS NOT TO SAY PRETTY LITTLE LIARS IS PERFECT. Aria victim blaming Hanna was definitely the lowest point in the show for me. But for the most part, they were done well
