Mimika, Sweetles and Grub Fruit...

Since the Prehistoric DLC I do enjoy putting Mimika with my plants if I can get my hands on the seeds. This time it put them into my sweetle/grub fruit farm. If the Sweetle got to the plant first, it was doing its thing, the plant changed and the Mimika afterwards gave it a boost to growth as I intended. But on the next growth cycle the Mimika got there first and this made the Sweetles not do their thing any more. Had to manually remove the Mimika and wait a cycle.

I think this is because of the "unifying" of concepts. I think the Sweetle thing once was a disctinct action, tending. Now it counts as pollination and it seems the Mimika buff prevents them from doing their own "pollination" action. Can anyone confirm?
