What is the best silenced weapon in game?

Opinions please. I'm currently using the trusty old hunting rifle, great crit damage but oh so slow, can someone please advise on a silenced weapon that has a higher dps and fire rate. It's such a shame the enclave plasma rifle can't be silenced.
