Suspension Question

My suspension is completely stock currently. I dont want coilovers. The streets where I live are pretty trash and if I went lower than stock, it would just be a headache.

What suspension upgrades can/should I do that arent coilovers or for coilovers? Are the adjustable suspensions specifically for getting coils or do they provide anything valuable for people without coilovers?
