Review 4 Kirkland Small Batch

Kirkland Small Batch (Batch 1124 – Barton 1792, 92 proof)

Price: $30 (Costco, Huntsville AL) Volume: 1L Distillery: Barton 1792

Nose: Citrus, vanilla, baking spice, caramel. Light and pleasant. Slight ethanol, nothing harsh.

Palate: Oak and spice up front. Medium body. Caramel sweetness comes in after a few sips.

Finish: Starts sweet like caramel candy, shifts to peppery spice, ends with a mild earthy note.

Overall: Better than I remembered it being the first time I tried it. Easy drinker, balanced, not complex. Solid value at $30 for a liter. I’d buy again if I saw it, but I won't go out of my way to get it.
