Americans studying law in Canada?
I live close to Canada and am seriously considering applying to law school there.
I'm wondering if anyone on here has thought of this or experienced it. Crucially, I'm wondering if I need to either marry a Canadian or get a special visa after graduation in order to use the degree, which would be equal in cost to a JD from regional school nearest to me.
Google is free, but I have been unable to find any first hand accounts of American citizens moving to Canada for law school and staying there. I have a young child so that complicates things as well.
My goal is to practice family/education/employment/public sector law and to live somewhere safe from climate change. Winter doesn't scare me and I'd love to live in Thunder Bay.
