Silver/Gold

I'm just wondering why these so called experts, dealers, ect don't wear gloves while handling precious metals. I have 1 coin the fingerprint will not come off of. What does it hurt to wear gloves! I've now decided I will no longer buy from the ones that don't wear gloves. I'm pretty new to collecting metals so please let me know if I'm wrong.
