Possible Job Opportunity in Stavanger

Hello all! I am being considered for a logistics position in Stavanger area. Besides being dedicated to learning Norwegian, what other aspects would be wise to research or be aware of if I get offered the position? I am American but I live in a state that has all four seasons, so I do know how to drive in the cold weather/heavy snow fall. I have always thought Norway is beautiful, but also I would like to not be THAT immigrant/expat too. Any advice is appreciated, my goal has always been to live in Europe. I have even practiced learning several European languages already. I have heard and read wonderful things about the people in Norway. Not that I am expecting kind treatment or anything, but if there is a way for me to integrate smoother I would like to know. Knowing any personal experiences and maybe mistakes to avoid is always good as well. Even blunt honesty is welcome - I would rather know the challenges upfront. Thanks in advance!
