Parking tips for A's vs Mariners at T-Mobile Park (seattle fri, aug 22)

hey everyone, figured i'd share some parking advice for the mariners game on friday august 22nd since it's probably gonna be a zoo. getting in and out of that area is always a headache so it's good to have a plan.

honestly the best thing i've found recently is an app called Prked. you can rent someones private driveway or garage right next to T-Mobile Park. it's usually way cheaper than the big lots and you get to just walk a couple minutes to the gate. the best part is you miss all the insane traffic chaos of everyone trying to get out of the same garages after the game.

if you want to go a more traditional route, you have the official Mariners Garage right at the stadium. it's super convenient but can be really expensive and it takes forever to get out of after the final out. another solid choice is the Lumen Field garage, its right next door and sometimes cheaper, plus it has an exit that dumps you right by the center field entrance which is nice. you can and should book either of these ahead of time on spothero or a similar app.

a lot of people also have luck parking a bit south of the stadiums, like down towards SoDo, and walking up. the lots are a little cheaper down there and the walk isn't bad at all. it helps you avoid the worst of the post-game gridlock. you might find some street parking if you get there super early, but i wouldnt count on it.

whatever you do, i'd avoid parking in Pioneer Square, it's a nightmare to get out of after an event. a really good move if you dont mind a little extra travel is to park near any link light rail station and just take the train in. it drops you off right at the stadium and you dont have to worry about traffic at all.
