One Thousand Six Hundred And Fifty-Fifth Night

A busy day after so much relaxing. I got plenty done, though not as much as I planned, starting with the Sisyphus painting. I figured out what it was missing this morning; some lighting. While I was drinking my morning coffee, I painstakingly researched how to add lighting to a backlit painting. It was only so 'painstaking' because the internet has been difficult all day. Luckily, the actual painting process was relatively simple. A few shades of black and lines of white and I am happy enough with the painting to varnish it. The varnish, watercolour paper, and some others things arrived in the afternoon and once they did, I glazed over the painting. I even took a few pictures and posted them on reddit and Tumblr. Someone left a very kind comment on one of the posts.

Between all that, I finally returned to my writing. The introductions to the danaides are done. I wrote 840 words. I skipped over the ending of that scene and started the next; I'll have to go back to fill that in tomorrow. It was a bit of struggle to get back into it but sometimes that is just what starts are like. I am glad to not have to write anything more tonight.

I did also try to register another ISBN for an Ebook version of Midnight Whorrors. I looked up the book a few days ago and was pleased it see it available at several online stores which gave me the ridiculous idea to create an ebook for IngramSpark. I was not aware I needed a new ISBN for that. And of course, the fucking website or system or whatever-the-fuck isn't working. I sent an email asking them to at least give me a confirmation email. They emailed me back that they 'can't speed up the process' which is not what I was fucking asking for. I swear, the library and archive department of my countries government is pathetically run. I also tried to register ISBNs for I'm Still Sisyphus just to get a head start. I'm probably going to have to email them again in a month or so. Maybe I'll even give them a call. I am actually angry enough to voluntarily make a phone call. Ridiculous nonsense.

Yours & Mine,

S.O. Skinner
