Positive experiences with local cobblers or jewelry repair?

Howdy neighbors!

Title says it but would very much appreciate any recommendations/reviews in the Bushwick area (and beyond tbh) for:

Jewelry repair:

I have a few pieces of (very much not high value) jewelry that need small repairs, mostly clasp replacements, etc.

I’d previously been recommended Edgar’s, but when I brought my stuff by they confirmed they only do gold soldering. My stuff could not be further from real gold lol.

I’m thinking just a mom and pop-style shop that could help me out with a few repairs.

Cobbler and/or handbag restoration:

I have an old-ish LV bag that could use some TLC, most importantly it needs the interior cleaned to remove a mildewy smell. It could stand some touch ups to the straps etc as well, but I’m hesitant about being upsold since I’m not that knowledgeable on leather restoration/cleaning.

Any positive experiences with leather bag restoration in the area? Maybe a tailor/dry cleaner would even be better suited for something like this?
