If manager is avoiding routine evaluation meetings, are you in bad water?
I’m an insurance agent. Our team managers usually has a couple of meeting individually with us to discuss the process and goals. Recently my manager is giving me this time to just catch up on files etc. basically just sit as opposed to a coaching meeting. And it’s not because I’m the best agent and have nothing to improve. I’m middle ground I would say.
Also I’m not the most talkative or socially popular person there. I can be awkward and usually it’s not the best reaction I get from others.
Does this mean I’m being let go? And is it a practice to skip coaching meetings with an employee for this purpose?
