AIN'T that the truth??

I (64 F) have been dating a man (60) for 3 months. We are both retired and financially secure and have many common interests and goals. He treats me well. My issue is that he grew up in a family where they apparently use the word ain't. A LOT. I've never used that word and have never met another person who uses that word. It grates on my nerves to no end and there is not 5 minutes of a conversation where he doesn't use it at least once. He is a smart person but he comes off as not intelligent when he constantly uses that word. I have not introduced him to any family or friends for this reason. It's embarrassing. I gently brought it up once and he did not take offense but I think it's too ingrained. I know it may seem like a small thing to the Reddit community, but if you have ever had a partner that does one thing that absolutely drives you bonkers extremely often, how do you handle it?? If it bugs me this much after a few months, I can't imagine going through the rest of my life gritting my teeth whenever he talks. Advice?
