Buying a TAS registered car in QLD.

A car I am looking at has TAS registration, and I will need to transfer that to QLD. What's the best way to process this? The best way, meaning the cheapest and simplest way, so I don't pay stamp duty twice, etc.

I assume I may need to pay TAS rego and stamp duty, transfer to QLD, pay QLD rego, then cancel TAS rego.

The car is physically in QLD, but the current owner never transferred the rego.

Car will have RWC completed in QLD.
