Changing build pre-DLC?

Beat the main game about 2 months ago with my int / dex build. Maxed out moonveil, wings of astel, and carian regal scepter (I think)

The issue is, I heard int focused builds often struggle in the DLC. I thought of getting the weapons and incantations needed for faith / strength build, since I heard this is better suited for the DLC.

Any thoughts on this? Stay with the Int / dex build I beat main game with or respec into a faith / strength build? Thanks!
