Collecting Forestmen!

New to the page and new to collecting! I have a particular interest in the vintage Castle and Pirates themes (more so the former), and have started focusing in on the Forestmen. There seem to be so many different variants of the Forestmen minifigs themselves and was wondering if anyone knew good ways of going about collecting these sets and minifigs? I've had luck with in-store resellers and ebay, but am grateful for more advice!
