Moped in wisconsin winter

I bike home from work all summer. 2 miles and over a bridge. I would like to upgrade to my moped this winter. Im thinking it would need snow tires. Right now the options are selling the moped and giving up or fixing it for winter riding. It needs a new battery and the oil leak found lol.
