Guava lotus regret?

Want a pack and play with bassinet attachment as one of the bassinets for one of our levels (family room for naps vs nighttime next to the bed). Part of me wants the guava lotus for future travel, but the cost is stopping me and wondering if a regular graco type pack and play with the bassinet will work just as well and figure out something for travel later.
